Why Your Newsletter Sucks!

Sorry for the vulgar headline, but its true.  As a small business you get excited because you signed up for a newsletter software and you have a facebook page, but who is actually getting to either.  How many times have you unsubscribed from a newsletter in the past month?!  What makes you think your customers are any different.

In order to be relevant today you need to be pertinent (fancy words, meaning only email me if it is pertinent to me).  The best and worst example of this is groupon.  If you are a young male looking for deals how many facial laser hair removal deals do you need to invade your inbox until you unsubscribe.

Ok, bizodo, so what are you saying?  How can you help my biz suck less?  The biggest problem with newsletters is that they are not targeted enough.  bizodo is the absolute easiest way for a business to collect info.  What that means for you is that now you can use it.

Shall we do an analogy?  Imagine you own a bakery (close your eyes tight) and you want to upgrade from the biz card fish tank to win a free rose.  Hmmm….   Odo brainstorm.  You actually have an iPad (its only a v1 but it will do) so you quickly go to bizodo.com and create a contact form.  In 4 minutes or less you create a questionnaire online that asks, name, email, their birthday and 3 or 4 other special events.  Now you program Odo to automatically to email 2 to 3 days before a special event a reminder to buy flowers.  As a boyfriend 3 days before my 1 year anniversary, you just went from someone I would most likely unsubscribe to HERO!  WOW, AMAZING, YES, and WHAT, you include a promo code for free shipping!  Hello Odo!  Hello new biz!  Hello relevance!

So the moral of the story is you need to create pertinent forms that collect data and then bizodo will help you with the rest.  What are you waiting for!?  Go to bizodo.com and create a free account!
